These vintage Christian Dior frames are part of the collection that was done by Optyl in the 1960's. These are being sold solely for the frames. These frames currently have prescription lenses that need to be replaced with your prescription lenses or sunglass lenses. There is a slight imperfection on upper left eye rim which is barely noticeable. Reflected in price. Beautiful and unique find!

Another feature of Optyl is its ability to keep its luster for years on end. I myself have many pairs of Optyl frames that were made in the 1970s, that still look they are fresh out of its case. The most important aspect of Optyl though, is its unique “Optyl Memory”. This amazing feature means that the Optyl will revert back to its original form after being heated. No matter how warped the shape gets, it will always return to its original shape! This might not sound exciting to the average person, but eyewear connoisseurs will know that it is a life saver. I don’t think anything is worse than hunting down a rare frame to see it’s been warped by poorly cut lenses, or the frame has been fitted to an unusually large head. Luckily with Optyl, you can simply take a blow dryer, expose the frame to its heat & watch it reshape itself.
